Arthur D. Swanson graduated from Washington State University after serving in the United States Army. In 1963, he graduated from the University of Washington School of Law. Mr. Swanson served as a deputy prosecuting attorney in the King County Prosecuting Attorney's office and as a Judge Pro-Tem in both Superior and District courts before devoting his practice to representing the negligently injured.
Art Swanson was a past-President of the Washington State Association for Justice (formerly the Washington Trial Lawyers Association), the Washington Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates and the Damage Attorney's Roundtable.
He was a member of The American College of Trial Lawyers and was recognized by The Best Lawyers in America from 1991-2022. He was named a Washington Super Lawyer from 2003-2022, and recognized by Seattle Metropolitan magazine as one of Seattle's Best Lawyers.
